how do you trade stocks? How can you make money off of it?
1) Save capital. 2) Read some books on the subject of negotiation and technical analysis. 3) When you save capital, trade paper (practice). 4) If you already have the capital, skip 1, but practice. 5) You can open a brokerage account that allows exchange of paper live (practice). 6) Start with small trades. 7) cut your losses quickly and take your profits. 
Trading is not a place of hope or Greed 9) Jump to the trend. Go Long when the trend is up, go short when downward trend. It's more complicated, but as you can not learn to do by asking a question here. Martin Pring has some good books out there for beginners.
